Your Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrive Las Vegas
Arrive into Las Vegas and transfer to our overnight hotel. You are then
free to explore the famous Las Vegas strip. Clients will not meet their
leader until the following morning.
Day 2 – Zion National Park
An early start around 7.30am for our journey of discovery! Please have
eaten breakfast and checked out by this time. Also, please have your
passport and insurance information available for some last minute pre
departure paperwork. Once we have the entire group we will drive to Zion
National Park. The drive to Zion is approx 3 hours.
Day 3 - Zion National Park
We spend two days exploring this beautiful park and its high
plateaus and narrow deep canyons. The tree-lined Virgin River supports
fragile flora and fauna as it meanders below massive, cathedral-like,
sandstone walls soaring several thousand feet into the sky. With its
soaring cliffs and cascading waterfalls, Zion National Park is one of
the Southwest's most beautiful and dynamic places. There is a variety of
trails to choose from and you will have plenty of opportunities to
explore. Warm up with a gentle walk to Lower Emerald pool and then
continue on to the sparkling Upper Emerald pools, passing a waterfall
along the way to discover Zion's "beach." If you are feeling ambitious,
enjoy the park's most famous challenge, Angel's Landing, (not suitable
if you have vertigo!) and after a beautiful but strenuous hike along the
knife-edge ridgeline, you will be rewarded with one of the most
breathtaking, powerful panoramas you will ever experience. There are
more leisurely walks available and your leaders will give you all the
options.
Day 4 - Bryce Canyon National Park
"Mysterious", "breathtaking", "out of this world", are only a few of the
descriptions offered by past visitors to Bryce Canyon National Park. We
drive the short way to Bryce (approx 2 hours), home to the famous spiral
pillars of rock, known as Hoodoos. The landscape is unique and truly
stunning. As at Zion there are a wide range of walks available to suit
all abilities. There is also the option to horse ride.
Day 5 - Monument Valley
After breakfast we start the long drive to Monument Valley (approx 6
hours) but it is well worth the journey. The park is owned by the Navajo
Native Americans and has been used as a backdrop for many films
including John Wayne films, Back to the Future 3 and many adverts and
music videos. The imposing red mesa are awe-inspiring, the tallest is
300m high. There is an optional jeep trip into the park where your
leader will be a local Navajo guide
Day 6 & 7 - Grand Canyon National Park
You will have a whole day free to explore this incredible natural
spectacle, there is an easy flat walk along the rim of the canyon or if
you would like a more strenuous walk there are many trails down into the
canyon. There are plenty of other activities available i.e. helicopter
flights and horse rides. In the evening there is a stunning IMAX film of
the canyon.
Day 8 - Return to Las Vegas
In the morning we will leave the Grand
Canyon and drive 5 - 6 hours back to Las Vegas. We will pass the Hoover
Dam en route. Those clients who are land only will leave the group on
our return to Las Vegas. We aim to arrive in Las Vegas by 1800.
Day 9/10 - Return UK
Pick up any last minute souvenirs, and then it’s on to the airport
and our return overnight flight back to the UK. Please note this morning
will be on your own, a tour leader will not be available
.
