Relax & cruise the beautiful Turkish Blue Coast
Explore the spectacular and historic south west Turkish coast as we cruise the Resadiye Peninsula on the wonderful blue cruise rich in ancient and historical sites. Swim every day in crystal clear sea which is also perfect for enjoying water sports or snorkeling. Wine and dine under the sun and stars, enjoying excellent fresh Turkish cuisine cooked every day by the onboard chef (vegetarians can be catered for). Your day will start with a traditional Turkish breakfast still enjoyed by families in homes across Turkey. This delicious breakfast consists of local cheese, eggs, olives, tomatoes, honey, jam, fresh bread and of course hot Turkish tea or çay. Enjoy a light lunch which varies everyday and includes local Mezes such as Dolma and fresh salads. Afternoon tea is often accompanied by cake baked by the Captain if you are especially lucky! Dinner is often fish, meat or chicken enhanced by herbs and spices which are used liberally to delicately flavour the Turkish kitchen.
Each
cabin has an en-suite bathroom with shower and flush toilet,
wardrobe and under bed storage. All cabins are also air-conditioned
but you should understand what this means on a Gulet as this isn't
explained by most operators and people assume this means it's
available in the Cabins and Salon at anytime of day or night. On a
boat, the a/c can only run when the generator is on, or in a harbour
when connected to 220volts. Usually you will anchor overnight in a
small bay, often next to a neighbour who doesn't like the noise of
your generator and you probably wouldn't like the noise during the
night either. So most of the Captains have come to a gentleman's
agreement not to disturb each other. A/c will be used on most of the
boats for a maximum of 2 or 3 hours in the evening to cool down the
cabins in the hot summ
Your
Day-to-Day itinerary Day 2 - Cruise to Kadirga bay for great snorkelling, before exploring the ruined Hellenistic city of Bozukkale with its Citadel guarding the bay from which you can get some spectacular views. Strong shoes needed for this short walk. Day 3 - Lunch at Kargi bay then onto the traditional fishing village of Datca for some Turkish tea and shopping. Datca is famous for its high oxygen levels and natural hot water spring in Old Datca. Optional excursion to see the ancient city of Knidos. Originally Greek its ruins date back to Lycian, Roman and Byzantine times complete with Agora, Acropolis, Temple and much more.
Day 4 - Onto Aktur and Bencik, where the
picturesque pine forests around the clear waters of the bays make an
ideal place for watersports. We can arrange water ski-ing, jet-skis,
banana and paragliding for you. Day 5 - Visit the village of Bozborun, famous for shipbuilding and local handicrafts. Also an optional excursion to visit an impressive local waterfall in the mountains. Day 6 - Serce is a beautiful bay which is great for snorkelling. Turunc is a small, pretty resort which creeps high into the mountains. A great base from which to explore the local mountains by Jeep or maybe you’ll try horse-riding. Day 7 - Relax in the beautiful bay of Kumlubuk before we move onto Paradise Island. Maybe you’ll choose to go for an exciting Turkish night of belly dancing, lively music and traditional dancing. Day 8 - Goodbyes in Marmaris. Please note the Captain may change the itinerary at anytime due to weather conditions or time available. Days and nights are usually very relaxed and informal; you may find you need nothing more than a couple of swimsuits, shorts and t-shirts. This is a trip with limited availability so early booking is highly recommended. If you feel like totally chilling out you could consider combining this trip with the itinerary the previous week to make fantastic 2 week break! |
