Two weeks of total relaxation!
By combining the two single week itineraries you can sit back and totally chillout on this fantastic cruise! Discover the beautiful Turkish Blue Cruise coast by sailing from Marmaris in the clear turquoise waters of the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas. Then explore the spectacular and historic south west Turkish coast as we cruise the Resadiye Peninsula on the wonderful blue cruise rich in ancient and historical sites. Swim every day in crystal clear sea which is also perfect for enjoying water sports or snorkeling. The Captain and crew expertly handle the traditional sailing gulet, East Meets West leaving you free to explore the secluded coves and bays. You’ll have no worries about cooking meals, sailing or dropping anchor.
Wine and dine under the sun and stars, enjoying excellent fresh
Turkish cuisine cooked every day by the onboard chef (vegetarians can be catered
for). Your day will start with a traditional Turkish breakfast still enjoyed by
families in homes across Turkey. This delicious breakfast consists of local
cheese, eggs, olives, tomatoes, honey, jam, fresh bread and of course hot
Turkish tea or çay. Enjoy a light lunch which varies everyday and includes
local Mezes such as Dolma and fresh salads. Afternoon tea is often accompanied
by cake baked b Each cabin has an en-suite bathroom with shower and flush toilet, wardrobe and under bed storage. All cabins are also air-conditioned but you should understand what this means on a Gulet as this isn't explained by most operators and people assume this means it's available in the Cabins and Salon at anytime of day or night. On a boat, the a/c can only run when the generator is on, or in a harbour when connected to 220volts. Usually you will anchor overnight in a small bay, often next to a neighbour who doesn't like the noise of your generator and you probably wouldn't like the noise during the night either. So most of the Captains have come to a gentleman's agreement not to disturb each other. A/c will be used on most of the boats for a maximum of 2 or 3 hours in the evening to cool down the cabins in the hot summer months.
Your Day-to-Day itinerary Day 2 - After breakfast in port your gulet EAST MEETS WEST will be cruising towards Ekincik, surrounded by forests and mountains it is one of the most beautiful bays in the area. Today, you also have the chance to take an optional excursion (additional fee payable) to Dalyan and Caunos. The riverboat will pick you up from the yacht and cruise down the narrow waterways of the Dalyan River. View the amazing rock tombs, enjoy Dalyan Village, take a mud bath (which is said to knock 10 years from your age!!) and visit Caunos, an ancient site with an Acropolis, amphitheatre, old harbour and tombs to explore. On the way back to the gulet stop off at Turtle Beach, home and nesting grounds of the Caretta Caretta Turtle. Day 3 - A true day of natural beauty, pine-clad hills and misty blue mountains, exploring the bays and inlets snorkelling, swimming and leisurely cruising. Maybe you will try our wind-surfboard or the more adventurous can hire a jet-ski, go water skiing, parasailing or scuba diving. Lose yourself in the silence of the bays and the cool waters that transform you after all the noise and exhaustion of everyday life! This is not a dream when you are cruising in the archipelago! A dinner under the stars in a secluded bay concludes this lazy day Day 4 - View the many hidden bays on the way to Fethiye. This is your chance to take a truly wonderful Jeep Safari excursion (additional fee payable), visiting Tlos, the oldest city of Lycia; the dramatic Saklikent Gorge, go funny rafting and finish the day at Patara Beach, rated as the best in the world by The Sunday Times. We anchor in Fethiye and after enjoying a beautiful sunset and dinner on board, you might want to take a look at the resort with its many bars, restaurants and shops. A real party and holiday atmosphere!
Day 6 - The beautiful Kuyruk Bay with the renowned ruins of Cleopatra’s bath is where we’ll lay anchor after breakfast. You’ll have the opportunity to take a short energetic walk around the pine clad mountains. Moving onto Kapi Bay, you may want to snorkel in order to see the underwater ruins, which are assumed to be the remains of an ancient bath Day 7 - This will be your last day of cruising, so make the most of it. Enjoy the quietness of the bays and refresh yourself in the clear waters before you leave this blue paradise. After breakfast, we cruise along the spectacular coast towards Marmaris and will moor at Paradise Island, Kadirga or Kumlu Bükü before our last dinner under the stars in port. Day 8 - Today is change over in Marimaris, those members who were on the first week trip will depart and you are free to do what you like before the members on the 2nd week trip arrive!
Day 9 - Cruise to Kadirga bay for great snorkelling, before exploring the ruined Hellenistic city of Bozukkale with its Citadel guarding the bay from which you can get some spectacular views. Strong shoes needed for this short walk. Day 10 - Lunch at Kargi bay then onto the traditional fishing village of Datca for some Turkish tea and shopping. Datca is famous for its high oxygen levels and natural hot water spring in Old Datca. Optional excursion to see the ancient city of Knidos. Originally Greek its ruins date back to Lycian, Roman and Byzantine times complete with Agora, Acropolis, Temple and much more. Day 11 - Onto Aktur and Bencik, where the picturesque pine forests around the clear waters of the bays make an ideal place for watersports. We can arrange water ski-ing, jet-skis, banana and paragliding for you. Day 12 - Visit the village of Bozborun, famous for shipbuilding and local handicrafts. Also an optional excursion to visit an impressive local waterfall in the mountains.
Day 14 - Relax in the beautiful bay of Kumlubuk before we move onto Paradise Island. Maybe you’ll choose to go for an exciting Turkish night of belly dancing, lively music and traditional dancing. Day15 - Goodbyes in Marmaris. Please note the Captain may change the itinerary at anytime due to weather conditions or time available. Days and nights are usually very relaxed and informal; you may find you need nothing more than a couple of swimsuits, shorts and t-shirts. This is a trip with limited availability so early booking is highly recommended. |
